This morning we headed down to the pool and our umbrella girl offered us the whole day for $50 for the chairs/umbrella. It’s Saturday so the price is going up! We negotiated her down to $40 because we usually only stay until noon.
Side note: Have you been missing my side notes? I looked online today to see what the price was for the double chair and umbrella and it was listed at a staggering $284 US for the day. DO NOT book online. Her first offer to us was $50 which is 1/5 of the price posted online!

Another side note!: Warning! Grade 2 humour coming right up! You know I have a fondness for weird signs, right? Well this little gem was outside the bathroom, separate from the pool rules sign, which to me indicates that these are bathroom rules. Well take a peek at rule #2! That leaves quite a conundrum doesn't it?
Here are a couple of photos of us enjoying the pool 💖
Once again, we enjoyed our pool time and then Steve headed down for another run at the deep stack. His cards weren’t so hot today, and he was out after four hours.
We decided to head back down to the Venetian for dinner in St. Mark’s Square again. It was really good last time, so I was happy to return. Even though it’s not the same as really being in Venice, it’s still nice being in fake St. Mark’s Square.
Side note: It feels like you are eating alfresco, but you aren’t. The ceiling is painted like the sky, you are sitting at tables that make you feel like you are out on a patio, but conveniently it’s not blistering hot like the real Las Vegas outside! Tonight at 8:30 it was still 40 degrees celsius!
Here are a few more photos from inside the Venetian.
After this we decided to walk home past the Bellagio fountains. They amaze me every single time I see them! Steve tried to film a little video so we could show you but YouTube thinks I’m breaking copyright (the music!) so I can’t post it here 😢 It’s not the same without the music… the fountains actually look like they are dancing to the music! I guess you'll have to come see it yourself!
Anyway, as an alternate amusement I’m including a short video of what the sphere looks like from our hotel room. The projections are continuously and endlessly changing. It’s pretty cool to watch.
