Saigon Again - Nov. 24, 2010

We returned to Saigon again for our last few days in Vietnam. When I didn't really understand the geography and logistics of travelling in Vietnam, it seemed like a good idea to fly in and out of the same city (so we started and ended our trip in the same place). I now know (and am telling you so you know!) that it’s better to fly into the North (Hanoi) and travel down and then fly out of the South (Saigon) … or vice versa.

Anyway, while we were here we wandered the streets a bit, hit Steve’s favourite spa (I’ m sure if we lived in Saigon, Steve would go to this spa every other day…his favourite part is when his masseuse would kneel and stand on his back.  We are still not sure how they don’t fall off while performing this massage technique), saw a few more interesting things on scooters (I could just sit and watch people here for hours!), enjoyed a "family dinner" at our hotel, did a little planning for the rest of our trip and generally relaxed.

Next we’re off to the Philippines!
